Anne Marie DiBenedetto, DPT

Dr. DiBenedetto graduated from St. Francis University in Loretto, PA with her Bachelor of Science degree in 2002, then her Master's in Physical Therapy in 2004. After practicing physical therapy for 4 years, she returned to school at Temple University to acquire her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She has worked in various settings such as outpatient rehab, acute and subacute rehab for over 7 years.

Dr. DiBenedetto has a depth of experience working with orthopedic patients, particularly those with joint replacement. She enjoys working with pediatric patients and is trained in aquatic therapy. She has also worked as a therapist in treating patients with movement disorders and Parkinson's Disease and takes a special interest in this population. She recently started co-teaching a dance class for people with Parkinson's which has been a lot of fun for the participants and Dr. DiBenedetto.

Anne Marie loves working in the PT field and feels that education of our patients is important. She tries to educate her patients on what they are doing, how it will help them recover and why it is important. "I think that when patients understand what is going on, they are more actively involved in their rehabilitation." Anne Marie also thinks it is important to assist in the education of our students. She is a Certified Clinical Instructor through the APTA and was a lab assistant for a Modalities course at the University of the Sciences last spring.

Anne Marie is originally from South Jersey, but currently resides in Philadelphia. She plans on moving back to NJ soon and in her free time, likes to dance, stay fit, and participate in outdoor activities.
